Dolf, the number you are looking at is NOT the serial number, it's the factory assembly number, used to keep the major parts of the revolver together for final fitting. The correct serial number will be stamped on the butt of the revolver. You will have to remove the stocks to see it.Looks like a S&W .44 Hand Ejector, 2nd. Model.
